Immigraiton Law Question: Bankruptcy and Green Card

    Anywhow, all immigrants, past, present, future, get this: bankruptcy proceeding has no relation to Immigration Proceedings. Period.

    As to effect of Bankruptcy filing on an affidavit of support filed 13 years ago, if you read instructions carefully it obligates you for 10 years not for life. So, if it was filed 13 years ago you are already off the hook on it, bankruptcy or not.
