Bmmer, CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so happy for you. By the way, are you a nurse too? Did they ever ask for the Visa screen certificate from you? I supposed you were not interviewed, but at any rate, I'm happy for you. We almost have the same time frame, my I-140 was filed 2/2002 got approved 6/2002, I-485 filed 7/2002, 1st fingerprint 8/2002, 1st EAD 8/2002, 2nd EAD renewed 3/2004, 2nd fingerprint 7/2004, received notice for RFE, 8/2004, then my case was transferred from CSC to the SF district office on 8/27/04 and still waiting. I had my medical done when my I-485 was filed and they didn't ask for it on the RFE. Would you know how long they usually take to reply on the RFE? Will they ask for another sets of evidence? Again, my heartfelt congratulations! Have a great day to you!
Thanks so much! Yes, it seems we had the same time frame for everything. ( I'm not a nurse.)They only asked for the medicals as evidence. I didn't have an interview which was good. It took 2 weeks to get the approval after submitting the medicals. One of my friend's case has been tranferred to SF office too for interview. The lawyer said it would take approx. 4 more months. He wasn't told yet what kind of evidence he needed to take. And by the way, I filed under 245(i) since I was out of status for a year. I hope this info gives some relief for paople in the same boat. Good luck!
