I sent in my I-751 to TSC on 4/16/03 and received my NOA shortly thereafter. This week I received another NOA in the mail informing me that I had been granted conditional permanent residency and that my new green card would arrive in 3 weeks and that I would have to apply to remove conditions in 2 years. Yet another example of USCIS's incompetency. I have since sent back a letter to TSC informing them that I am already a conditional permanent resident and have been since July of 2001! And the saga continues....

Just an update on my application to remove conditions. I receive my letter from TSC informing me that my conditions had been lifted. I file my I-751 on 4/16/03 and was approved on 6/23/04. During the time that my I-751 was being adjudicated I moved to a new district. I need to bring my documentation to my new district office according to the letter I received from TSC. Thought folks might want an update.

Thanks Still and Jo. It's nice to see some positive comments on the board once in a while. I appreciate it.

I see Mike-Hole is talking to himself again... What an ***...

Sphy: It is indeed amazing the level of incompetence sometimes at that department - hopefully it will get better over time...

You should now just need to take your Approval Letter, your passport, your old GC and some new Imm. pics to your local office and get that 10yr GC... Make sure they stamp your passport so you can prove status while you wait fro ther GC to come in the mail... One other thing - you should take a photocopy of the approval letter to keep whiule you wait as well - wish I had...

Thanks Aguila and ARQU. I appreciate the thoughtful comments.

And thanks Michael P. Schmitt for your encouraging comments. They are always appreciated by us grints who spend our time trying to defraud the American government.
