I am an H1 visa holder...I work for a company right now..how can I apply for a green card?
Do I have to apply bymyself or have the company that I work for do it for me..I have been with them for almost 3 years...

you could have applied for yor gc long ago when you started working for them, but it's okay now too. The company applies for you; it is kind of complicated and a lots of hassle. They have to prove through advertising in a Sunday local newspaper that no American person can fill the position plus go through DOL approval before your case is forwarded to the INS. It's all doable, but hire a good and knowlegable lawyer who is specialized on H1 cases. Good luck.
