I wouldn't worry too much about it. Many others in your situation just corrected the discrepancy after they became legal.

Ole Proud is proud of the fact that she hires only illegal dirtbags...who cares about fake ssn's, as long as she can save a buck....who should take 'immigration advice' from a business owner that sells out Americans to the lowest bidder, and seems to think it's OK to for anyone to use fake SSNs, fake visas, or whatever....what ever happened to the rule of law? Or do you just believe in the Rule of Sleaze? Better get a big bottle of those patriotism suppositories....

I just said I didn't agree with it. But, I gave a plausible answer to the OP. It happens. I think most of them are using SSN's of the demised.

You could be prosecuted. If you used the fake SSN on any real immigration applications you will be denied any benefit and can be prosecuted. Usually aliens are not prosecuted for previous misuse of an SSN if they legalize.
