Why would you ask for Asylum and then go back to the same country you wanted out of? I thought if you ask for asylum it is because you are being persecuted and fear for your life,or was it a lie to get permanent residence.

no, it's because this dirtbag somehow successfully lied to our authorities (twice, I might add...once when he got a visa and a second time telling his phony stories about alleged persecution...the Ceauceascu's have been dead since 1989) and now wants to go back to where he knows there was NEVER any fear of persecution and try to scam other members of his family to America.

What's so surprising about it? USC doesn't need visa to enter EU member states. Similar to the VWP.

It is practically impossible to get a asylum for a person from Western Europe. For a start, I can't even think of a situation for which anyone would need one. How in the world did the OP manage it?

I don't think Romania is on the list for asylum. Guess I don't understand the OP's question.

The OP is NOT from Romania.
He is from country XY, was granted asylum here in the US, and wants to travel to Romania now.
He wants to know what papers he needs to file, since he was granted asylum. Are there any special papers or does he just file an I-131… that’s how I understood him

I think OP is not telling the whole truth. He's supposed to be a refuge from western europe but it is OK for him to go to Romania. I never heard of such a case. Something does not add up right.
