We answered something like this earlier but I can't find it.
If you are in deportation proceedings, there is nothing you can do.
Well you might call a lawyer and see, they may know of something.

I do not know what to advise you but one thing is sure..one the INS send you a letter to ask you to leave the country it doens not mean that you are automatically put on deportation. In most cases they just send yr file to filing dept. yOU might need to get a copy of your file from the INS and see what's in there.

GET MARRIED ASAP!! I received the same exact letter and they never followed up. My attorney guided me through this. It's just a piece of paper with no meaning. I married with 2 weeks of my divorce and now I have a GREEN CARD!!!!!!! My interview for the GC was all of five minutes!!!!!

Words to live by, prenupt. Not signing an I-864. technically she fell out of status. Not a big deal. In any event you can bet I will be limiting my liability.

Why are you pulling up posts from 2003? Nothing better to do with your time? Guess it's time for another trip to Russia, then, to find your next twenty-something bride?
