I received a notice from USCIS on line that a notice was mailed to me requesting additional evidence or information in my case. Is this bad news? Will this delay the processing? What should I accept from this?
Kyle: why don't you just follow the #$@% directions instead of trying to figure out some way to avoid compliance with our rules? Is this too much to ask? If they ask for evidence, then respond, you m o r o n.
Someone12: Calm down a bit man, the guy just ask what a RFE could be. After waiting for years playing by the rule, its understandable to be jumpy/anxious at the slightest news. Especially when it can take weeks before they got the actual notice.
Kyle Jones: USCIS issue RFE whenever they need more specific information before they can issue decision on a case. This could range from proof of legal status within a specific period, company ability to pay, proof of divorce from previous spouse, etc. Yes it'll delay processing until you submit the requested information, but on the other hand you know your case is actively processed by someone, instead just sitting in a pile of paperwork.
