I'm having a 2-year green card and will be expired by next April 2009. Can anyone tell me how to renew it and how much it cost? Do I have to submit in person or I can mail the application. I'm from Brooklyn. Please please help.

Yes, it is thru marriage. I just read the info you sent. Is I-175 form is the one that I need? I got married on April 2005, I did not get my GC until the April 2007. So technically my marriage is in the 3rd year now.

1) I am confused by what they said about this paragraph below:

"If you fail to properly file the Form I-751 (Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence) within the 90-day period before your second anniversary as a conditional resident, your conditional resident status will automatically be terminated and the USCIS will order removal proceedings against you. You will receive a notice from the USCIS telling you that you have failed to remove the conditions, and you will also receive a Notice to Appear at a hearing. At the hearing you may review and rebut the evidence against you. You are responsible for proving that you complied with the requirements (the USCIS is not responsible for proving that you did not comply with the requirements)."

2) I have been told I need to file the application 6 months before the expiry date. But here mentioned within 90 days before expiry date. Which one is correct?

3) For this renewal, will the conditional status be removed?

You need to file within the 90 days prior to the conditional status expiring. If you file sooner it will be returned. File later and it will be rejected. They may count the postmark so don't even mail it until you are within the 90 day period.

You do not renew a conditional green card; you apply to remove the conditions by filing an I-751 "petition to remove conditions" within 90 days before the 2nd anniversary of getting it.
