Yes you need to file them. One of the worst things u can do in the US other than commit a crime is not to file taxes.

Post your specific questions here and indicate whether you are talking state or federal taxes..

Just federal. I am missing just one year. Do I just fill out the 2003 1040 and mail it to IRS? Or is there something speacial that needs to be done?

Please go to www.irs.gov, get their number and call them. Ask them.

File your 2004 taxes along with the missing year, there might be some penalities apart from that no problems.
