If he is wearing red then he didn't tell his family the entire truth. Regardless, there is probably more to the story than being told. If he is charged with transporting illegals he's screwed. Probably tied to the tickets he was in jail for. Got stopped for something and he got a ticket, didn't pay it. The other people in the car were illegals and got nailed for that too.

Davdah although you could be right about him wearing red and not telling his family the truth you can also be wrong because when i was in immigration custody the put me in orange when i was surpose to be in blue,they made a mistake and i was then given a blue uniform some two weeks after.

Does it give that info while you're being detained? As soon as they allot you an A-number they'll input the info on the recording even if and while you're detained in a detention center? So it pertains to those case hearings within the holding facility also?

Thank you very much for all the information. What happened was that he had some tickets and he turned himself on Friday (he didn’t want to pay). He forgot to take his green card (he did not have reason for doing so). He served his time for the tickets and on Wednesday the local police told him that since he did not have his A# or the green card with him they were going to transfer him to a immigration detention. Finally they let him call this morning and he told us that everything was fine and he was waiting for them to find him on file. A few hours later he called us and he told us about the smuggling charge. We actually were worry because he had a DWI a few years ago (3 or 4 years) and it is why we thought they detained him. We are very worry because he is a single father, has a 5 year old son and he just lost his job because he was suppose to go back to work on Thursday. We tried to contact some of the attorneys but nobody is answering (of course Holidays). We will try tomorrow morning.

This guy sounds like a real winner. He's too cheap to pay his tickets, and then decides to cost the American taxpayer even more money by going to jail instead!! I bet that it all seemed so easy at the time!!

So, now he's in a real jail, newly unemployed, potentially charged with a serious crime...and, well, perhaps he'll pay his tickets next time...assuming, of course, that he doesn't end up back in his country of origin.

Now SunDevil you know everything is free in America: lawyers, meals, jail space, interpreters, fingerprinting, deportation, it doesn't cost anything because according to the illegal alien idiots, AMERICA IS A FREE COUNTRY and LAWS DO NOT APPLY TO THEM. That is until they want their "civil rights".
