hi, i am an international student doing my graduate study in michigan.i read something about informing the INS about address change,if one has changed address within the last one year. i came to kansas first and then took a transfer to michigan.so i have to inform the INS right? now i wanted to know how do i go about doing this. i would really appreciate it if anybody could clarify this.and also when is the last date to inform the INS. thanks.

you're obligated to inform INS of your new address less than 10 days after your move. This was always law (but it was giving you 30 days), but it will be enforced more rigerously now.
If you have moved recently, you should download the form for address change (get a .pdf copy on the INS web-site and many attorneys have it on their sides, too) and sent it certified as soon as possible.
