Hello Everyone, I have a very difficult question and I hope someone can help me out. First of all my mother petition me being single and she is a USCITIZEN. My boyfriend and I want to get married I already have my Alien number and Social Security I´m in My home country waiting for Package 3 to get to the embassy with my case number. Now you might be wondering why I have my alien number well 13 years ago I was under my mother´s petition which her brother made for her I was aged out and she had to do another petition for me and I was told I had to wait for my new petition abraod. Well I have been here for 5 years and waiting on that new petition for 3 years now. If I get married how much longer would I have to wait? knowing that I already have a alien number and a Social? thanks for anyone or everyone that can answer this question for me.

If you get married and if your mother is USC, then she would have to file different petition. You will fall under F3 Family Category. Visit the link below for the priority dates.

If she is a USC, I believe she can convert the petition to F3 as well but not sure about it. Have your mother contact USCIS customer service and they will be able to assist her.

Here is the deal. If you marry you will have to wait about an extra 2 years. Check out the time table on the I-130 applications here

You voted democrat. This country is not worth sneaking into any more.

Davdah she is out of the country so she will fall under quota system. The State Dept publishes the priority date every month and depending on the country she lives in, she will have to figure it how long will it take for her to get here. That is the link I provided her. The link you provided is for CA service center which does not accurately represent the category. Just my opinion.

Its close, either way. If she gets married she will have to wait longer. Something else for her to think about. If she does not get married she will have to take into consideration how long it will take to bring him over with her being an LPR. She'll have grey hair by then.
