It does matter bcoz if you dont get the actual GC in a year then you have another hassel of going to ins to place another stamp and who loves going to ins.
You are probably going to get a stamp on your passport if you are approved. After that, I dont know how long it will take before you can get your card by mail.
Sphyrapicus3, you read your posting regarding this matter. When will they make official announcement? Because so far I have not seen it on uscis web site. Also, if they dont put a stamp one one's passport, how long will the person have to wait to get the card in the mail? This leads to so many open questions.
The information was relayed by a prominent California immigration attorney from a meeting that took place last week. No further official word has been announced. If it is true, there will be a stampede to USCIS offices to get stamps before they stop issuing them!
