If you finish the interview, get the stamp in the passport. How many days do you have to wait to get the actual letter in the mail?

It doesn't matter anymore because as of 26 October you can't get anymore I-551 stamps. See my post regarding that.

You are probably going to get a stamp on your passport if you are approved. After that, I dont know how long it will take before you can get your card by mail.

Sphyrapicus3, you read your posting regarding this matter. When will they make official announcement? Because so far I have not seen it on uscis web site. Also, if they dont put a stamp one one's passport, how long will the person have to wait to get the card in the mail?
This leads to so many open questions.

Cisse.

The information was relayed by a prominent California immigration attorney from a meeting that took place last week. No further official word has been announced. If it is true, there will be a stampede to USCIS offices to get stamps before they stop issuing them!
