I'm 17 yrs old my father(lpr)filed a petition for me I qualify for visa V acording to ins guidelines my question is what forms do I need to file? what are the steps and about how long it takes? I live in Texas thank you

Form I-539 (to change from your current status to V status)
Form I-765 (to get your employment authorization document)

You apply to the Missouri Service Center and the entire process will take at least six months if not longer. Call INS customer service (1-800-375-5283 I think) for more help. Good luck.
