I am a U.S. citizen. I filed an immigration petition for mother last June. It is serviced by the California Service Center. I am not sure how long this process takes until she gets the visa but since she is in a desperate situation have lost her husband a month ago, I would like to bring her to the U.S. asap. Is there anything she or I can do to speed her coming to the U.S.? For example, would applying for a visitor visa be advisable?

no david123,,,sorry to hear that first,,and second, tbhere is no way for her to get a tourist visa bcoz she have an i-130 pending ,,they wont ,trust me,and sorry to say this ,but they dont really care about her lost,,iam in the same setuation and the only thing she can do is just to wait ,,and there is no way to speed up the process,,,but 1 thing she might be able to do,,,(humanetarian parole),,chances are not that good ,,but this is alot faster than waiting for the cr-1 visa and all that,u may wanna try this,u wont lose anything ,but try to c if an attorney can help u with this,,bcoz the whole case will depend on the letter u will submit with the form,,and attorneys know's what the uscis want to c exactly,,so give it a try and i wish u good luck,,,and letme tell u something,,iam not saying she will be denied the tourist visa 100%,,but based what i have heared ,,and i also asked 20 immigration attorney's about it and they all give me the same answer,,no,no,no,,so sorry ,,and good luck
