I had filed i751 and NOA says " Alien card extended for one year..." What is this date of extension? Is this one year from NOA date or one year from the expiration date mentioned on alien card (CPR). Also i havent heard from my SC abt the application. I filed last year in April 2004. When shud I go to get extension stamp?

the NOA is from when you got the letter that says receipt date.

NOA says "alien card extended for one year" - which to me means THE card is extended for one year from the date of expiration ( date of issue + 2 years ). I made some trips more than a year after the NOA date, closer to GC expiration date + 1 year, and was once warned that my extension was about to expire... I would say you are 'covered' till July 2005.
Lets hear what others think.

Can Someone please clarify?

My NOA date is April 20,2004. CPR expired on July 15, 2004. Extension for one year is which date (April 04 + 1 year ) or July 04+ 1 year?

I would think that CPR card itself is extended for one year from date of expiration. Please post your replies as I am confused when should i go to get an another extension stamp/letter

I've been made to understand by my attorney that it's not the Date of Receipt of NOA Letter, but as it says "YOUR Alien Card THAT HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR 1 YEAR, empployment & travel authorized" - MEANING you would need to take an INFOPASSS Appt. to your local office before July 05. (Not April). My LATEST NOA is dtd 01/19/05 & 01/12/05 is the Date of Receipt but that just means I (MY ATTNY) would go with THIS NOA to the INS office in April'05 to get a stamp which extends my green card until April'06. U CAN ALWAYS CALL THEIR HOTLINE TO MAKE SURE, THOUGH.
