When you were entering the U.S. with your K-1 visa, you surely were processed and fingerprinted. That's then you should have received your employement authorization (a stamp in your passport and or a little employement authorization card valid for 90 days). You'll need to go back to the INS and apply for it now or you can wait untill you do your adjustment in 90 days after your marriage is completed. You must also obtain a social security number from the SS Administration for realistically having a chance to find a job in this market. Congratulations and good luck!
I read here (or maybe a different forum) that most POE's don't do the stamp, etc. anymore. JFK apparently still does. Several attorneys have recommended applying for EAD when AOS is applied for because they rarely get processed before the 90 days is up and then would have to be re-filed for with AOS, thus wasting the fee. From what I've read and heard it's usually just under 90 days for the processing. Hopefully they'll get faster.
After you get married, file your I-765 concurrently with your I-485. It normally takes longer than 90 days to have your EAD processed. On day 91, you can make an infopass appointment to visit your local office and have an interim EAD issued.
