Hi! I sent in my application for green card renewal last Aug and am still waiting for reply. I was wondering if I can also file for naturalization right now or do I have to wait for the reply? Have been in the USA for almost 10yrs with clean record. Thanks in advance.

I think there is nothing on the N400 that says you cant file if you have applied for a renewal.

It should be fine to file for citzenship.

Yes, you can file N-400. Getting a duplicate GC takes about 8 - 12 months these days. It is better to apply for Naturalization now. By the time, you will have your interview for Naturalization, you will get your GC or you can show the INS your stamped passport.
