Where was McMess's flag pin during both debates?

Barack Obama's national Muslim outreach coordinator has resigned amid a controversy of over his connections to a man who the Justice Department named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the racketeering trial last year of several alleged Hamas fund-raisers.
Mazen Asbahi, a Chicago lawyer who had been appointed to help Obama reach out to Muslims, stepped down on Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported late last night.
The paper had inquired about his relationship with Jamal Said, who served on a board with Asbahi in 2000 that is a subsidiary of the North American Islamic
Trust, which holds titles to mosques, Islamic centers, schools, and other real estate around the country. Said had been named in an investigation of alleged Hamas fund-raisers, which ended in a mistrial last year, the paper reported.
"I am stepping down from the volunteer role I recently agreed to take on with the Obama campaign as Arab-American and Muslim American coordinator in order to avoid distracting from Barack Obama's message of change," Ashabi wrote in a statement Obama's campaign staff released last night.
Obama aides said Asbahi had only worked in his volunteer position in the campaign since July 26 and they would appoint a new person to the job.
After his appointment, Ashbahi had written on the campaign's blog, "we need Muslim Americans to get excited about the Campaign, and there's a lot to get excited about."
"Sure, there have been mis-steps," he said. "And of course there are added sensitivities with our faith given the "smear" campaign trying to paint the Senator as too exotic and too un-American to be President."
Obama had apologized to two women who were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women's headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate at a rally in Detroit in June.
Why didn't anyone ask: Why do you have a Muslim coordinator? P.S. There is no Christian coordinator.

Since when religious beliefs are relevant to a person's qualifications, specially in a society that finds freedom of worship a right protected at a constitutional level?
Is that all that's left? Comments about flag pins and religious beliefs?
I don't care if the man believes in God, the scared monkey or whatever, all I care about is a person who will stand for the Constitution, will put an end to torture, will put an end to secret law, and will take this nation off the current path towards destruction that the Bush administration has so stubbornly defended.
You know as well as I do that those beliefs do weigh in on decisions made. And again, why have a muslim coordinator when it isn't supposed to affect anything as you say? It all matters especially when there isn't much else to look at.

Obama, the inexperienced candidate, whose opponents criticize him for being too "soft" on fighting terrorism, is trying to seal off what could be a dangerous flank for him. He recently said that it is unacceptable that the Americans and the British are bearing the brunt of "the dirty work" in Afghanistan. If he becomes president, Obama will demand that the German military, the Bundeswehr, which has been stationed in the relatively safe northern part of the country until now, ultimately participate in combat missions in the south.
And just how does he plan to order a foreign nation's troops to battle?

I am amazed how some posters throw the Constitution like some carrot to be dangled when anytime you have a political disagreement.
Before one starts condemning the use of torture, secret laws, and so forth. torture can be defined any way you feel like it even if you use the UN Convention on Torture.
stumbleupon efine "Torture" Before You Condemn It digg: Define "Torture" Before You Condemn It reddit: Define "Torture" Before You Condemn It del.icio.us: Define "Torture" Before You Condemn It
Torture is a powerful word. Take care when you bandy it about.
If as the New York Times reports, a 2005 Justice Department memo actually endorses "waterboarding" as an interrogation technique, then the memo deserves condemnation on that ground alone. But the other reported conclusions in the memo are not so clear cut -- and the conventional wisdom that the memo endorses "torture" is hyperbole.
Whether we like it or not, the memo is an attempt to do what the Administration has to do: define what interrogation techniques are permissible under the law. And yet, reflecting the knee-**** reaction to the memo, Rory Kennedy lambastes the Bush administration's definition of torture as "severe physical or mental pain or suffering" that results in significant harm of significant duration, lasting "months or even years."
According to Kennedy, that definition is "unrecognized anywhere else." Actually that definition comes from the Torture Act, which is the US law that codifies our obligations under the Convention Against Torture. The Act, which was signed into law by President Clinton, specifically requires suffering that is "prolonged."
To have credibility, Democrats need to confront the unpleasant specifics of the debate. Like many legal standards (consider the ubiquitous "reasonable" in the law) the concept of "severe physical or mental pain or suffering" is not specific enough for interrogators in the field. When the next President takes office, s/he will have to define "torture" and, by default, anything short of torture is going to be permissible. The result will inevitably be that some very harsh interrogation techniques are allowed. This might help explain why Hilary Clinton has carefully refused to rule out specific interrogation techniques -- for which Andrew Sullivan has taken her to task.
So did the Administration get anything right? As noted, the idea that "waterboarding" falls outside the Torture Act is clearly wrong, as Sullivan points out. But the other techniques allegedly endorsed -- head-slapping, sleep deprivation, hypothermia, and stress positions -- what about those? To issue a blanket condemnation of such techniques as "torture" dangerously waters down the power of the word. In reality, such judgments have to be made on a case by case determination, depending on the severity, the duration, and whether multiple techniques are used in combination. These aren't pleasant topics, but the Administration's memo should be an invitation to debate, not an excuse to avoid debate altogether.
Clearly, we need to debate what torture is and not juxtapose the word Constitution like an old rag doll when one condemns a broadly interpreted word. Of course, the U.S. government is not using blatantly obvious techniques such as the Iron Maiden, but what about sleep deprivation, three hour interrogation sessions, or the other more mundane, less obvious techniques that some groups do say its torture.
"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." John Adams on Defense of the boston Massacre
The leftist wackos define any level of discomfort as torture. They think by serving tea and crumpets the terrorist will tell us everything. That the terrorist is just misunderstood. That they would stop if we were just nicer to them. Perhaps if they got to see what Alqueda or Hamas does to people they might rethink what defines it in the first place.

Another reason caution is required. Even the dems are disgusted with him. Apparently he doesn't have very high regard for white women either. The video is about a 1/3 the way down.
If you vote for this guy enjoy your across the board tax increase to pay for someone else's welfare who shouldn't be here in the first place. To pay to educate their kids while yours are denied admission because they are the wrong color.
Oh yes, he wants to increase social security tax. Wants to do away with the Republican tax cuts. Wants to increase AMT tax. Wants to give all illegals welfare. There are about 20,000,000 of them. That's a lot of welfare someone has to pay for. YOU WILL. Don't complain. You rich white folk have had it too good for too long. Its time to give it all black. Just ask OhNoBama. He'll explain it.

Even the black leadership isn't so thrilled with OhNoBama any more. Listen to what Jessie Jackson thinks of him now.
Oh, but that isn't all. If your Jewish hold on to what ever it is you hold on to:
Obama Calls for opposition to Israeli "Apartheid" and a boycott of Israel
One Democratic State in Israel/Palestine: a New Peace Initiative by Tony Wicher, has been online since April 2007. Mr. Wicher is a regular and prolific contributor to my.barackobama.com, and it is therefore impossible for Barack Hussein Obama to argue that some fly-by-night Republican or Clinton operative posted this to damage his campaign.
full article here. Note that the pages referenced on this site to the text in the OhNoBama site have been deleted. I guess they didn't expect any concern over their ant-jew sentiment.

I need to partially retract my last statement that the conventional black leadership is beginning to hold their collective noses.
There is one who is singing the praises of OhNoBama. Calipso Loui is firmly in his corner. Even refers to him as the messiah.
But, there is more. For you blue eyed devils and blood s.uckers in the group take a look at other notable speeches of farrakhan. If you are too lazy to read, watch the video

If you're an independent, moderate or conservative on the fence about whether to vote for McCain or Obama, here's a helpful guide:
It's unlikely you'll vote for Obama if you....
1. aren't a news anchor, a teacher or proffesor, or a newspaper writer or editor.
2. read the New York Times or watch NBC abd MSNBC for pretty much the same reason the NSA monitors radio transmissions.
3. automatically conclude that the person laughing in the car next to you must be listening to Rush or Oreilly. Or maybe Obama off teleprompter.
4. dislocated your shoulder trying to explain Obama's position on Iraq to co-workers.
5. find autobiographies generally more interesting when the author has, you know, done something.
6. remember the how wonderful the Jimmy Hussien Carter Administration really was not.
7. would give a month's pay to play Jack Bauer's partner on 24.
8. increasingly agree with Mark Steyn that "almost everything [Obama] says is, well, nuts."
9. think it's relevant — despite what the intellectual sophisticates say — that several of Obama's mentors and associates have displayed a dislike for America or a disdain for Americans.
10. think it's relevant that several of McCain's mentors and associates are American heroes of historic magnitude.
11. think about 9/11 more than once a year or think those who spew American's killed 300 of their own, so we could go kill Muslims for oil.
12. have concluded that Larry the Cable Guy makes way more sense than Howard Dean and that a better4 casting for parts in Dumb and Dumber would have been much better if they cast Harry, the war is lost, Ried and Nancy, sell my book,do not drill for oil, Pelosi had the parts.
13. feel a little safer during turbulence when your pilot is a calm "white haired dude."
14. thought about Hillary's 3:00 a.m. phone call ad when you first heard about Russian tanks in Georgia.
15. wonder why Obama felt it necessary to give a speech on patriotism.
16. get sorta creeped out by 200,000 Germans chanting "Obama! Obama an Obama wants their votes.
17. think the jury may still be out on Harvard and Columbia University's law schools.
18. suspect "merci beaucoup" is French for "empty suit."
19. doubt that teleprompters are really magical dispensers of good ideas but 300 is instead 300 brainwashed experts making it all up as they go.
20. know in your gut that defiantly withstanding 4 1/2 years of torture trumps all of Obama's qualifications and accomplishments combined — regardless of what the elite pundits say.
21. repeatedly find yourself asking "Change to what and for what?"
22. have ever used the term "pompous twit' in the same sentence with "Marx," "Marcuse," or "Sartre."
23. don't like being told what to do — especially by someone who hasn't done it is doing the telling.
24. really like ticking off the media, Hollywood, academics, and PC busybodies everywhere.
25. weren't born yesterday.
26. After listening to two of Obama rehashed Doom talking points speeches, find yourself less knowledgeable about who and what he stands for than you did before listening to them.

What to expect on a national level if OhNoBama wins:
125 Shot Dead In Chicago Over Summer
Total Is About Double The U.S. Troop Death Toll In Iraq
CHICAGO (CBS) ― An estimated 125 people were shot and killed over the summer. That's nearly double the number of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq over the same time period.
In May, cbs2chicago.com began tracking city shootings and posting them on Google maps. Information compiled from our reporters, wire service reports and the Chicago Police Major Incidents log indicated that 125 people were shot and killed throughout the city between the start of Memorial Day weekend on May 26, and the end of Labor Day on Sept. 1.
According to the Defense Department, 65 U.S. soldiers were killed in combat in Iraq. About the same number were killed in Afghanistan over that same period.
In the same time period, an estimated 247 people were shot and wounded in the city.
History lesson: Most have been brain washed to think the Democrat party is the one who promoted civil rights. Guess what. You're wrong.
A few notes from pages of the past:
The Democrats weren’t just internally conflicted about the 1964 Civil Rights Act; a significant number of them actually filibustered it -- preventing an up or down vote on the bill. Eventually, however -- thanks to Dirksen’s leadership -- this landmark legislation did get the vote it deserved. As with all of the previous civil rights legislation in our nation’s history, it passed with significantly more support from Republicans than from Democrats. The same was true for the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which became law the following year.
The first Hispanic member of the President’s Cabinet? Republican Lauro Cavazos, Secretary of Education under President Reagan.
It was President Ford who, in 1976, repealed FDR’s notorious executive order interning 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II.
The first woman on the Supreme Court? Everyone knows that. But you may not have known that before she became a U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Arizona Republican Sandra Day O’Connor was the first woman to be Majority Leader in the legislature of any state.
More truth to come
