I wanted to know if it was possible to sponsor an illegal immigrant to work as a full-time, live-in nanny? She over stayed her visitor's visa and has been living in the US over 2 years. Is this possible?

Let's see, she lied to our embassy when she got her tourist visa, she lied to our border people when she arrived (claiming she was a tourist and not going to work) and now we are supposed to reward this visa cheat by giving her - what? A green card? A work visa? Phooey!!
Send her packing. We should be helping those who OBEY our laws, not those irresponsible visa cheats that disobey or ignore our laws.

LIZH,

You won't find any REAL help here. If I was you, I would go to immigrate2us.net.

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question but there are more helpful people on the other site with no ***holes.

What do you mean "sponsor"? If you're thinking about applying for her green card through employment the answer is no. She'd have to go back to her home country and apply there. Due to her overstay she'd become inadmissible for 10 years. If you pay her cash and don't report her to the IRS then it should work.

Cheers.

sorry, but America is not for everyone - only those who are responsible enough to obey her rules, not some whining visa cheat, begging for help because she is too dense to follow the rules. Tell you what, why don't you take her in, give her room, board and job? Well??
I see....only words, no action.
