Rooms needing some more work: Master bedroom (trim painted and curtains).

I guess Aroha and sons have stepped into high gear at this point! I hope all goes well for your family. Have a safe flight and let us know soon after when you touch down. I'd like to officially welcome you to the USA!!!!!
I'm not even properly packed, but some of the furniture is gone, all the cupboards are bare and I've managed to fill up a huge skip (dumpster?) with junk. Still lots to go, but the majority of the furniture (that my mother doesn't want) is going to be donated to charity as well as the excess clothes and toys.
We're moving to my parents sometime tomorrow afternoon, coming back to clean the day after, having our going away party combined with my Dad's birthday that night and on the plane Sunday afternoon (the big reason we chose to stay til after August 8th was Dad's birthday).
In a way I'm lucky. The house isn't sold yet. My parents will be doing some work on it that can't be done while we're in it, then my Dad gets to deal with the whole real estate drama and closing out the power and bank accounts etc. They've actually lent us the money to pay off what was left of my mortgage, the flights and furniture etc to get us started. I might grumble about my folks, but they really are the best
Anyway ... I will be pretty slow until ... Monday! Keep us in your thoughts for a safe flight and a pain free visit with ICE. LOL.
