Crossing Over

I just watched this last night. Apart from a few Hollywood style embellishments, on the whole a good movie about immigration matters in the US.

Nice to see some newcomer ethnic actors in it along with a low-key role for Harrison Ford. Thought provoking.

I gotta watch this! This is like right up my alley....action, drama, love. I like Harrison Ford and the others.

And whitewashes radical Islam.

Curiosity got the better of me. Just got done watching it. Much of it was technically correct, but not without mistakes.

Overall, a B flick at best. The girl spouting off pro-islamofacist propaganda in school would in real life been tossed out the nearest window. With the teacher being the one holding the window open. That might have spiced up this otherwise boring movie.

I counted 4 spotty plots brought together in a clumsy array of one sort or another. It's the old good cop bad cop drama with a failed new twist.

I give it a thumbs down. There is better drama played out in a real immigration court than in this movie.

No, she would have gotten a free scholarship to Harvard in real life. And a no show job with AmeriCorps.
