My husband and I filed filed for a green card for myself after we were married. I am Canadian and he is US. We filed back in Sept/02. Is this normal to have not heard anything about an interview yet?
We have moved after filing and am worried that they may not have put our new address in our file after we gave it to them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Long processing times are the norm now, depending on the INS center you filed at. If you have the receipt document, you can check the status of your case online. You could try calling INS to confirm they have the updated address for peace of mind.

If you had filed AOS and EAD forms also at the same time your spouse sponsored you, then you should have received your EAD a longtime back. It would be better for you to file AR-11 change of address with the BCIS. You should also write to BCIS to transfer your file to Immigration Office of your area. In case you have receipt number, you can check status of your petition online at www.immigration.gov
Good luck.

Hi Umesh,
I think I may not have been clear. I was already in the US when we got married and then after we married we filed immediately. So I don't have to transfer anything at all.
I did file a change of address and have a copy but unfortunately it does not guarantee anything.
I went for my employment card in December and fingerprints in Feb. Do you still think that I should have gotten my interview letter by now?
Thanks again for your help.

If you were fingerprinted in February, then you will receive your interview letter soon. If you had filed for change of address after your EAD or Fingerprints, it may delay the process for a couple of months.
Good luck.

Why the process should be delayed ig you've entered an Address Change with the appropriate local INS after you've filed the AOS, Umesh?

If the person has moved to a different jurisdiction then it take some time to follow the procedure and transfer file to that local office.
Good luck.

SO I guess I should be getting the letter very soon because all I did was move 25 minutes away in same state.
That is great if I get it soon!
