1979..year I left middle school and my first trip to the States. How things have changed here since then.
Went to Disney Land 2 weeks after leaving that school, happened to be on float that takes you to Tom Sawyer's Island, and looked across at other float going the other way, and who do I see..my classmate! lol
Met up later..and asked each other..what ARE you doing here? Small world.

It is a small world sometimes. My first visit to USA was Christmas week 1978. Stayed at the Wachula motel on Cocca Beach, FL. The motel still exists today.

When I first started learning to fly, it was in Malden, MO 1989. It turned out, one of the instructors there was a brit from my old home town in UK. We lived a mile apart and met in USA.

Eeven more odd. The flight school was HAL Aviation which eventually went bust (that's a story in itself). My first flight instruction job was in FL. The owner of the school used to own HAL in MO! Small world.
