Hmmm looks like I hit the nerve. Hey are you pimping these women by bringing them over here...lol. I am not against immigration. My grandparents were immigrant, what I am frustrated about it even before they come here they are questioning their rights. Would you like entire USA to be affected by TB? I would think NO.

I too have been a victim of marriage fraud. I was a law abiding citizen and I met him at a vulnerable time in my life. I left him 3 mths into the marriage and he begged until I allowed him to come back. He can be nice and very charming. He begged me to have a child. Three miscarriages later I finally carried a child he was born very pre-mature and chronically ill. First two years of his life he required 24/7 care. I learned of my husbands real identity (not the name or date of birth of the man I sponsored, or his passport claims he is) 6 months after our sons birth. At that point we had just completed a month earlier the final interview with USCIS and he was given green card. His mother called to wish him a Happy Birthday and I asked is your mother okay, your birthday was last month. That is when he told me his real name and identity and why he changed his identity in India. So I became the keeper of his lies. I should have turned him in at that time but frankly I didn't care if his name was Mickey Mouse, I only cared if our son lived or died. He cleverly, patiently waited all important milestones to his path of citizenship. After I learned of his identity things in our life changed drastically. He became was physically, mentally, and financially abusive. Prior to our son I was the primary breadwinner and had to give up acceptance into the RN program because of our sons condition. My sister gave him a job at the company she works at he went from $5.50 hour to over 100k per year. But I had to beg or do sexual favors for any monies. My name is Robin Horton call me I need some information on what if anything I can do. I tossed him out finally this June 2008 after he repeatedly kept talking to his girlfriend for hours. Three weeks later my neighbor was helping me do yard work and buried under some tools he found my husbands N400 application for citizenship, which I didn't even know he had applied for. He is a citizen now but on this application I can and have documented a total of nine lies. I have turned over to ICE but to be honest I get the impression that my daughter who was molested by this man, my son who is ill and someday I must explain this unbelievable story to, and myself aren't important enough for ICE to utilize their resources even when I did all the work for them. I put it in a folder, tabbed it and gave them a all the proof for each allegation I told them was a lie. My number is 717-887-7340. I have spend over 12 in custody and a Judge here in PA gave my husband unsupervised visitation after he took the 5th amendment on his name and date of birth, and has mocked courts with huh a bond for 20k is that all the state of PA thinks he is worth. He constantly threatens to abduct my son. I live in fear and terror. Help if anyone has any suggestions I beg for help

I'm starting to accept the fact there is not much to do when it comes to marriage fraud. I married someone from Turkmenistan three years ago. He got his provisional GC three months after applying for it. A year and half into our marriage his treatment towards me started to change. We ended up arguing a lot and I asked him if he wanted to split up because a life like that was not a healthy one. He told me that he could accuse me of spousal abuse if I tried to prevent him from getting his GC. That was not even my intention... after all I loved the guy. He later said he wanted to work it out and I gave it another go, but things didn't change much. In fact they got worse. He became distant, rude, cold among other things. He got his permanent GC this year back in April. By July I was so miserable I asked him what was going on with him and he told me that he thought he was homosexual... I was completely baffled... and devastated. We went to therapy and they suggested we split up for a while which he quickly agreed to. It is now November and we were supposed to have been figuring things out but now he has told me that we have to split up because we make too much money together and he can't qualify for full financial aid being with me. This whole time I was giving him the benefit of the doubt because I love him and cared for him, and I realize that I have a lot to blame on myself for my predicament. All this time he was buying his time so he wouldn't be left out on the street. He now has a GC, nice car, a place to live, can go to school, and will be getting free money from the gov't to do so... all at my expense. He has told me that he will not pay for the divorce lawyer which is all that I wanted from him at this point. I feel stuck. The sad thing is that all his friends have done this... I know of four of them personally... in the process of getting a GC and there's nothing to be done. One of them even married someone here in California last year and she just recently married a guy (the real person she loves) in Turkmenistan this past October. I wish the laws could be changed in which the U.S. citizen could be somewhat protected.

RW, I can't believe you would write something with such apparent ignorance. Few if any had a relationship akin to a weekend in Vegas. To be so condescending towards their prudence is beyond arrogant. People from other countries are not that different. There might be some language issues or even differences in customs. But overall they think like we do. They are human aren't they?
