I would appreciate if someone could please reply my question, my brother is 17 years old, he will be 18 in Nov. 03, he has greencard since last six years, we have to apply for his citizenship. I want to know what is the procedure to apply for citizenship for under 18 age. Our father is a US citizen but mother is still on greencard. Please send me informatin about the step and forms required for this. Thank you very much

by filing N-600

and then for US Passport.

This is to be done by Your Father.

apply for N-600? I believe that is the applicaton to file for certificate of naturalization. If he is a permanent resident alien, filing for the N-600 could be his one one-way-ticket out of the U.S.; permanently!

Naturalizations take a while (about a year or so) and waiting till November shouldn't make a difference. If it does make a difference, have a cold glass of bear, and say the following prayer:
