Everyone should be able to file VAWA self-petition on their own without using an expensive attorney.
The most important part of the self-petition is the affidavit describing the details of battery and/or extreme cruelty. Abuse does not have to be physical in order to win the approval of self-petition, if you can properly describe psychological abuse, you WILL be approved.
Unlike many VAWA haters on this site, I'm actually willing to share my advice and experience with someone who needs help with this matter.

Sharing your advice should consist of A warning that The marriage Must Have been entered into in "Good Faith" Otherwise VAWA Cannot help!!!

Vawa Claim form = Did you enter the marriage in good faith??? Many say YES!!!! PERJURY!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly. I'm polite most of the time, but I've been cited on i2us for being too straight forward and honest (a few times - lol). S12, SOM and many others wouldn't stand a chance on that site. Why? Because it's moderated. ILW should get a clue.

also, you are banned at i2us if you have more than one id, so some here wouldn't be able to play their games

Nope! I tried and succeeded in having two IDs on that site. But honestly, nothing malicious. Just for fun, or just to test their safeguards. I posted one message apiece, nobody among their moderators seems to notice. And since then I left the site. I did that just out of curiosity.

The i2us mods just recently reminded its members that a ban from the site will result if multiple identities of the same person are discovered.

The funny thing is the reason it would be deleted. Might not be for the cause suspected. With the majority on that site being women who are trying to legitimize their often wayward Mexican expatriates. They are often on the receiving end of those allegations. She wanted him to quit drinking so much and get a job. A slam on culture and being too demanding. A case for vawa, LOL.

Whatever. Who the people behind it is immaterial. That's beside the point. It's more on knowing how to properly put up, run, maintain, and decently sustain an immigration discussion forum.

It all depends on what the owner wants. If the scope is limited to a one sided view and ambition, you get immigrate2us. Here, well, it's an exercise in the 1st amendment with the rights and responsibilities that go with it. You gotta admit it though. This place is far more interesting because of the open dialog. For those who lack the stomach for free speech, there are numerous other controlled venues.
