I am renewing my EAD without my lawyer's help because I got laid off 5 months back and cannot afford to pay his fees . Can I give my personal home address on I-765 even though on my original I-765 form it was lawyer's address. If I give my personal address on this renewal form, will BCIS issue an RFE to check my status as this is a different address from the original I-765?

It does not matter, you can give your own address. Even attorney must have given your residential address on I-765, although Immigration always responded at his address. I-765 is very simple and you can download from this sight.
Good luck.
