Perhaps you should have asked wikapedia if there is such a language as British. That should have been a clue. You see, sometimes there are nuances in what is written giving rise to other indirect meanings. Not trying to be tricky but there is more to language than dictionaries and dry literal interpretation.

About your biblical quote. Well, there is more to that too. If I were to list all charitable acts on this site it would still be outside the scope of this parable. Why? Because in order to receive glory the individual would need to be identified. I am not known. We are all still anonymous here. And, charity is not inclusive to what I wrote about.
