To cut to the point: I overstayed my visitor visa to work in the USA. Filed for the I-245 and paid the fine with no results due to the backlog (NY). After six years, I decided to leava the USA to Canada. A year later I'm a legal resident here. I worked with many SSN numbers because my bosses needed one. And all my paychecks came with deductions as Federal taxes and all the other taxes that green card holders and citizens have. The difference was that I never applied for income tax returns because I wasn't legal. All this money that me and thousands of other immigrants pay is lost to pay for the american welfare. That's all!!

Meekas - what is your point? It wasn't the fault of the USA that you overstayed your visa and used false social security numbers for employment purposes - was it? So why are you complaining about your tax dollars being lost? I believe you created your own problem?

Although your last post is fairly repulsive/angry itself, I just wanted to tell you that there is a way to get credit for FICA taxes paid using other people's SSNs. If you kept any pay stubs even if with other people's SSNs you can use that as evidence that you paid FICA taxes during that time and request SSA to transfer credit onto your new SSN. I think the exact process is fairly complicated, but I know that it has been done before.

ProudUSC, I'm just tired of people who are against immigrants talking about loss of taxes unpaid to the government. Many of us paid them and never saw any return in March. The deductions are 25% of what we make and still peol[pe say the illegals don't pay nothing. That's false. If you want to make a statement saying the immigrants should leave because
they've been in the US illegally I'll agree with you, like me for example, but saying that they are a burden to the government it's false and in the end you all will have to admit it. ANd the ssn numbers are and created by the employers for work purposes. They don't match for anything else.

So, you don't want to take ownership that this was your problem? How is the USA going to reimburse you for taxes paid when you provided them with false social security numbers? Reputable employers in this country are mandated to withhold tax from their employees, legal or not. I don't see why you think this is the United States problem. Did the US come and yank you out of your country and force you to work here? I think not. Your tax dollars probably went to some illegal's USC born children! I am a proud born USC and have thankfully never needed any public assistance.

Hopefully, Senowen's suggestion will help you recoup your lost tax deductions. No offense meant.

Senowen, I'm disgusted with people like someone12, I don't like to write these kind of words, please, excuse my lame vocabulary. It is like this because I lived and learned ENglish in the strets of NYC, where immigrants from all over the world come to work. And We love the USA, I've leaked many peoples boots in order to survive and work in the USA. I've served and I was never served, I've lived the horror of 9/11, I've been treated like dog many times. But I still smile and dream of one day become a legal resident in the USA. I don't care about that money I've lost, even though I keep my w-2s just in case. I wasn't entitled to receive anything from the government. But I didn't take nobody for granted. I wnated to pay taxes and live normally as all.

Meekas,

It took a little time for me, but I've learned it's best to take the high road and not react with slurs and name-calling in this forum. I have to hold myself back sometime, but I feel better when I've responded in a civil, humane manner. I think you will too.

gee meekas the visa cheat....I'm soo sorry you can't get your ill gotten gains returned to you (not!)....you didn't belong here in the first place, douche bag, and licking boots would be a step up for you. How many phony social security cards did you buy? How many lies did you tell to our authorities? Who really gives a rat's a$$ about you? (hint: not one single American -- maybe somebody from your family of bootlickers, but no one else does)

are u sure these SSNs do not belong to anyone? At the end of the day if u were working and paying taxes on someones SSN they have a big problem. Their earnings increase because urs are added onto thiers and they will get slammed to pay more taxes on earnings they didnt make!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It must be a ***** paying taxes, but what are taxes for, not just for welfare. For countless other things too .

however, meekas believes that he/she is exempt from US laws....although he/she cannot logically explain why....instead, like all other illegal dirtbags, he/she whines and whines and cries some more complaining about how 'unfair' our laws are (the ones they don't obey!!!).....well tough $hit meekas, you don't get a dime....
