According to 'lay man gone psychoanalyst' theory, we all project negative things inherent in ourselves to those around us.
And it is precisely those who resemble ourselves most of all that we tend to attack the most (again, this is according to 'layman gone psychoanalyst' theory. For references to origins of this theory read writings of G.Jung).

This being said, I assume it is a good news.
It means we are all inherently same and one people, and every single person who ever has any disagreement/dispute with the other is just having a trouble with himself/herself.

I am also curious how would this work out if we used same theory for election campaigns?

Imagine Schwartznegger and Ted Kennedy having a hot debate on social/political issues and then commentator comes along and says: "Well, apparently these two people are so similar, or see in each other things so deeply rooted in their own subconscious mind, that they can't tolerate the site of each other. (Apparently Ted would love to significantly lover the taxes and spending, but can't admit it to himself while Arnie is burning with the desire to do the opposite, but wouldn't admit it either).
In short: these two are the mirrors of each other".

Hm, wouldn't it be fun to look at everything that way? Smile

Cool
