does anyone know if these immigration lawyers will help me try to get my husband deported. or do they work just for trying to help people stay here? my husband married me and was married to someone else and still is. i know that is fraud so the marriage to me is void. so who do i have on my side?when i dont have the money to fight this. he took it all. i would be thankful for any advice.
However you dont need a lawyer to take care of your immigration situation.. But you do need a divorce attorney to take care of an annulment /divorce.
Do you have "proof" that he is married? (documents etc)
How long are you married and when does his greencard expire.. /is it conditional?
YOU cannot get himm deported. that will be up to uscis. You cann howver write a letter to request that your applications and affidavit of support be withdrawn based on evidecne (not hearsay) that the marriage is a fraud becuase he is still married in his country. Put his A# in the reference and copy of his green card if available. Now you will never hear back from uscis.. that is the way it is. so make sure you have given them all the necessary evidencde that they will need to terminate his status and remove you from responsiblity of your financial obligation of him.
Right now the most important thing is to try to get your assets and money back from him by sueing him for fraud in a civil court. This is what you need your divorce attorney for and the important thing.
Eventually, uscis will catch up with him and take the action on him.
I am sorry, you must be feeling horrible. How did you learn of his previous marriage?Do you have evidence? How long have you been married? Tried USCIS yet? On the I-130 it states polygamists do not qualify to immigrate. I would try to get as much evidence of his previous marriage and talk to immigration see what they have to say. And go from there. Like Explora said, seek immigrant organizations or churches. If u google that, you should find some.
sorry for so many threads. just found this sight last night. not sure how to use this sight, guess i got excited a place to finally talk and yes i guess dump it all out there.thankyou so much for all the responses and advice. i am not divorced yet.and his wife is here illegally. came over on a visa and never left. i have spent thousands on a lawyer and i have filed for an annulment. goes before the master. waiting for a date.hard to fight back if you cant afford attorney. my husband stated he will win he has more money.this has been going on 3 years. He took everything i had. and i guess sometimes it feels like the only spark left to fight back. again thankyou all for your advice. i will report himto ins and not wait for the master and settlement.

This is going on for 3 years. Why did you sign the 751 to remove conditions to make him a permanent resident?????? did you sign it because he threatend your life?
By all means... the annulment and masters has nothing to do with immigration. You should have written that letter to uscis 3 years ago when you discovered the fraud!! now they are going to wonder why you waited.. and so are we,
IF and when he applied for citizenship... were you living with himm at the time? if not , and if he applied based on 3 years marriage.. then it is a fraud and they will revoke his citizenship.
Many egypt are christian.. but i suspect he is muslim and did christian marriage in greece for a immigration purpose scam.
He is a greedy one.. Greedy always get you caught.
do you really think that getting him deported will make your pain go away? well the answer is no just move on with your life. beside you could have taken action earlier. Now it would seem that you are just trying to vendicate yourself from being hurt...
