Hi. I recently obtained an H1b and I was an F1 student. What I have is F1 visa on passport but I haven't gone back to home country to get h1b visa stamp from us consulate.

do i need to do anything to change my status? or will it be ok?

Hopefully when you file for the H-1B petition, it was requested that your status be changed from F-1 to H-1B. Your original approval notice I-797 should have a new I-95 at the bottom.
