It has begun little by little. I.C.E.is beginning to act and it is about time??? I never thought that it would happen, but it is. 2,200 ILLEGALS have been detained. 800 have already been deported. The rest are on thier way south to Mexico.Military troops are being transported to the border. 1000 troops to start. And many more to follow. So to all you illegales. You better start packin your property and get ahead start. I am proud to be an American!!

Now, on the contrary it is a very good sign! This deportation of a microscopic fraction of illegals is just an advertisement that the enforcement of the borders is being implemented and that our 'beloved' government doesn't play around, as it may seem.
They're taking this step to scare some Mexicans out of the country and future illegals to come in.

There is obviously no way the will start massive deportation. It is way too expensive.

As it's been said, border enforcement has to be implemented first and THEN they will deal with illegals in the country.
So let's just see what's coming up next.
Relax everybody...

yesssss.....2000 out, only 11,998,000 to go. It's a modest, but good start. I applaud DHS.

I can't believe you guys can be fooled so easily Smile
But I guess that's exactly what they're counting on: government knows the mentality of its people very well.

ICE depoeted about 80000 last year, based on enforcement statistics. It nothing new, except for the media coverage nowadays.

I actually watched the news today, where they were showing different ways that smugglers use to get illegals across the US/Mexico border.

Pretty amazing stuff.

They go into dirty, smelly sewer pipe, where there is no light and almost crawl under the ground in complete darkness for thousand feet.

Now, this is very nasty, and I agree that it should be stopped.

as reported by Associated Press

"There are more than 500,000 "fugitive aliens" who have been deported by judges and either slipped back into the country or never left. There is often a disconnect between local and state prisons and the federal government that allows illegal immigrants to serve time and be released without being transferred to federal officials for deportation."

Still in favor of amnesty ?
so much for deportation huh.... gone today,, back here tommorow. Wink

How easily the masses are swayed. This administration's deluge of "check-mark" politics- as well as other administrations that came before it- maintains the appearance of border enforcement activity. But, how many of us really know what is happening- and are the sources from which we draw our information as dependable as we wish them to be? Because of the massive expense required to ensure 100% enforcement of the laws- and to make every illegal alien accountable for his or her actions- these actions serve as a deterrent only. Just like when the US Mint starts pressing new currency or an electronic method of payment, it is only a matter of time before a very smart person who has disregard for the laws of this country can circumvent any benefits rendered by "changing our stripes".
