What is a good idea is taking a close look at GM and Ford stock. Practically the lowest they have been since the depression. They will be bailed out one way or the other. Either by gov handout or bankruptcy. But they aren't going away. Barring anything significant expect the price to reverse direction on Dec 8 when congress ok's some kind of help. Now is the time.
