Hi! I am new to this site but I am looking for any help I can get. I am an American Citizen and my husband is Mexican. I filed an I-130 for him over 2 years ago. We moved from that address and I updated my address (not in writing). I called to check status and was told I needed to update my address via telephone, not in writing. After doing that numerous times and also sending in a form to change my address I received a notice at my new address that my case had been denied due to abandonment. Now I am trying to find out what to do to get things going again and get them going faster. Can anyone help me with this? Please!!

Hi Chiquita

Your address is changed now. good. Itr appears that correspondence was sent to you in regards to adjusting status and you did not receive.. therefore not being able to respond. Case abandoned.

Questions:
Did you just file I-130? or did you file whold package 485/765/864 to adjust status?

If you just filed I-130, Is your husband here in a legal way or not(inspected/with visa)

Please answer the questions so that we may advise you on how to proceed from here.

4now,

Thanks for answering. My husband did not come here legal. We filed only the I-130.

I was told when I last contacted Homeland Security that a notice was mailed out requesting additional information.

Thanks again for any help with this situation.
