"The US is 16th in the world now in terms of how many kids graduate from high school, as a percentage," Goodnight told silicon.com. "Over a third of our kids in the US drop out of school before 12th grade. What value are they to society? They don't play, they don't fit in.

"Two-thirds of our prison population do not have a high school diploma. It seems pretty clear to me, do you want to educate your children or do you want to put them in jail?"

OVER A THIRD OF KIDS IN THE US DROP OUT OF SCHOOL!

That means every third person on this forum who is an American is an uneducated one...
Do not be angry at LieMaster or Someone12 and such, feel sorry for them.
To make the matter more interesting, Republican constituents are the middle of the country "red neck" type of people. Which won't be an exaggeration to say that every other Republican voter is uneducated. To go even ****her, this illustration for the split within the Rep party seems to clear things out for me. The educated half leans towards the Comprehensive Reform, while the uneducated half against it.

Congratulations to my logic skills.

Big Grin

ps. I must elborate on it a bit f*arther. This was only about highschool education, which is not much at all, especially in the US. When someone graduates from highschool, that doesnt mean they all go to college.
So that means, taking a generous liberal shot, about 1/4th of the country (25%) goes to college, out of which maybe %20 graduates. Taking a liberal guess, maybe about %10 will pursue PhDs.
WOW! No wonder IT needs skilled talented people from overseas.

Another bashing America post? Its easy to find fault in any country, especially in the age of internet. I bet I can easily make a similar statement to any country in this blue earth.

Are you really clueless on why big companies want to bring overseas professional? Check on how much L1 workers got paid and compares that to the average wage of US IT workers. Clear enough?

This Idiotperson is just stupid. Maybe if our schools were not over crowded with these illegal aliens that our teachers could spend more time with American children. This is just another example of how illegal aliens are ruining our country. This I-idiot doesn't even know that she is helping prove our point!!

man, if your dentistry skills are even twice as good as your command of the English language, I would not want to be one of your patients (not 'patience').

I was never able to get more than a C in any of my English classes. That’s why I got myself into dentistry - no need to write or speak and the money is good...

I am the unequalled master of learning the command of language in shortest possible time - it took me about 4 months to speak fluently in a language that never spoke before and in about 6 months I had acquired superb grammar skills as well - in fact I awed everyone who saw my progress.
And right now , 11 years later, my writing or speaking skills of the same language are not nearly as well as they were just a year after I started learning it.

And guess what I tell you ?! WHO CARES !!

IT'S YOUR BRAINS, YOUR ABILITIES, YOUR PROVEN AND YET TO BE PROVED POTENTIAL IN WHAT YOU DO - THAT IS WHAT MATTERS.

If the guy is a great dentist and I needed to fix my teeth what the F would I care if he wrote or said "TOOTH" instead of "TEETH", or said "COOLGATE" instead of "COLGATE" Big Grin

Humble AF, ladies and gentelman... Wink

Since we're dishing out our education, I have two bachelor degrees, one in Fine Arts, the other in American Lit. Each from a different university. And different continents. I still want to go ****her. And I speak a few languages. English took me a few months to learn. I understood it before I learnt it. But to elaborate would take a long time.
Your turn.

AF? Wink

Since you've no problem dishing out USA, how about giving a glimpse of what so great about your own country? I thought I asked you this before and you simply evade it. Not proud of it or something to hide perhaps? Then again you are here instead of back there...

Heh, 2 bachelors degree.. Roll Eyes

Humble AF?? Big Grin
Don't you ignore our humblest of all Pegasus??? Big Grin

As to education, mine is in Arts (movies), Political Science and in Economics.

I never show off my academic background - every time I walked into classroom I knew my teachers weren't nearly good enough to teach me.
And I know that I had good teachers, by any standards...

NO ONE can teach a GENIUS.
But GENIUS can learn a lot, from anyone.

AF Smile
