My husband and I found a new sponsor, a friend of his, so can we change this and submit this other person's information instead of the original couples',INS wants an "updated"formI-864 and it seems like this would be a good time to do this.Does anyone know if this is okay?

Best to call and ask. But, I know of no policy that says that you can't change sponsors. At the interview they want a good solid sponsor with a good solid income that meets or exceeds the poverty line for the last tax year and the recent tax year. I did change my I864 once and heard nothing about it at the interview. Not all interviewers are the same (they should be). Just have a good explanation in case you are asked. Good luck
