Hello everybody. I am a U.S. citizen.I sponsored my wife to recieve her permanent residency.We completed the process and we attended her interview at 26 federal plaza in N.Y.C. on Feb. 5 2003.,about 4 and a half months ago.Everything went well at the interview.We had all of the paperwork that they required.At the end of the interview the immigration officer wrote a notation in my wifes passport I-485 pending.She said that they were waiting for security checks.and that we would get something in the mail.We are still waiting for a letter telling her to come in and get her passport stamped. does anybody have similar experiences or can give any advice ?
