Thank you so much for reading this post. Just had few questions. Hope you guys can answers some. Okay based on the info below my questions are 1) Have I been out-of status anytime? And how do I know if I have or not? I am planning on applying for advance parole to visit my old parents and hence the questions. 2) God forbid for some reason if I do get denied entry to the US on way back for any reason what are my options? What do I do then? (ie: If I get in the 3/10 year ban slot that is).As far as I know I have always been in status but still worried your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I entered the US on 08/10/98 on F1 (Student visa) valid from 07/30/98 to 12/31/01. I have renewed EAD (work Permit) several times during my school life till today

Graduated with my MBA in the month of May 2001
3rd Optional Practical Training from 07/18/01 ---07/18/02
AOS receipt date 07/25/02
4th EAD 09/20/02 ---09/19/03
5th EAD 09/20/03 ----09/19/04
6th EAD 09/20/04 ----09/19/05
Finger printed for FBI by INS on 01/16/04
AOS interview 05/12/04
Currently awaiting Green card (Pending NAME CHECK submitted by INS to FBI on 03/17/04)

Hi Kalla,
My wife got a email from Mr David Hardy (FBI) for which we are very greatful and he said my name check was submitted on March 17 2004. He told us that they are working as hard as they can to clear all the backlog of 2002-2003. Well any new news for you yet? What should I do now? Does contacting congressman help? Let me know. Thanks man

Mr. Hardy also dropped me an email, it looks like USCIS "forgot" to request my name check! I will get back to my congressperson to have them do so.
