Spamming..again please check..except Susie, I have either asked the spammer to stop, made a comment and reported them. Sam can confirm this, or you can quite simply go and look for yourself.
Don't you remember that my ID was in fact cloned twice because I was stopping a spammer do repetitive posts all over the board and knocking down unanswered ones?

Yes we did ignore dcw, for quite a while actually, I even left for a while as he kept following me around.
But he then went overboard and kept coming into the avatar thread when we chose all to ignore him. He doesn't like being ignored, so he will keep at you until he gets your attention.

WHo can determine who has been disruptive??
Well I think volumes speak for itself.
Sam had a huge amount of emails and complaints, and told me himself that of the large volume of emails coming in from ILW.com, 80% were regarding this board. Disruptive?? It isn't for me to decide by myself, however I think it pretty much says YES if Sam goes by the amount of complaints.

Yes we have put forward ideas and rules, and after Bev's departure, Sam didn't return to deal with this again.

At this rate, the word disruptive will have a huge list of what is. Common sense 4now, I think Sam doesn't need to list every possible way of what being disruptive means.

Regarding the two long standing members who have attacked posters, again you must be blind....check back
I have attacked them, and always complaining to them for their actions. I also amongst many others have apologised to the new members for the way they were treated by these 2 members.
Where have you been?

Iperson, yes we did complain, and she did reduce her threads, however lately she just pops up once in a while and only can see one or two threads going on similar subject.
She isn't taking over the board, and posting in every possible thread going.

So what if it happened before, this board is not as it was, and sure nobody wants it to go back like it was too..especially remembering the colorful words posted back then.

So what do you want to be 4now..ilw's board members attorney to defend their actions?

I guess it will be down to Sam as to whether the volumes of complaints is in fact what is classed as being disruptive or not.

Wonder how many emails he had backing these 2 members up? So they have one fan, you..anymore?

Dcw said you were giving him advice in private..why didn't you advise him to stick to one thread or something, knowing the trouble he was causing? No instead he had to go into the avatar thread, and insult members there too.

Maybe you should have had ignore on too 4now when you were hurt over the Arab jokes that he posted. At least you had an apology from him.

Some of us yes have retaliated because we were getting fed up with the nonsense! and Lies!

Don't You Mean Take Over The Avatars For Cara bean Thread???? A PRIVATE PLACE FOR ALIKE THINKERS? WHERE ANYONE DIFFERENT IS NOT DESIRED THERE? A PLACE THAT HAS VERY LITTLE IMMIGRATION TALK? A PLACE WHERE FLIRTING, DRINKING, BASHING OTHERS? A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN ACT SILLY DRUNK!!!!??? FOR ALL VISITORS TO ILW TO SEE?????

SOME HERE HERE MENTION OF HATE AND RACISM> IVE SEEN MORE ON THAT THREAD WITH SOME THERE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE ON ILW!
IM NOT YELLING MY CAPS LOCK STUCK>>>.

Fact Sheet: USCIS Issues Revised Guidance on the Applicability of the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA)

The Child Status Protection Act (CSPA)amended the Immigration Nationality Act by changing how an alien is determined to be a child for purposes of immigrant classification. The Act permits an applicant for certain benefits to retain classification as a “child,” even if he or she has reached the age of 21.

Since its enactment on Aug. 6, 2002, USCIS provided several field guidance memoranda regarding the adjudication of immigration benefits in accordance with the CSPA. Today, USCIS has revised its guidance that modifies a prior interpretation of certain provisions of the CSPA.

excerpt from article on name checks

"At the same time, we’ve embarked on a joint plan with the FBI to eliminate the name check backlog. By providing additional funds to increase the FBI’s capacity to conduct name checks, we’ll eliminate the name check backlog by the end of next summer.

As a result of these combined efforts, we are now naturalizing new citizens at record levels. But just as important as what we are doing to address the surge in naturalization applications is what we are not doing: we are not compromising the quality or national security in processing these increased applications."

WASHINGTON – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) today announced a joint plan to eliminate the backlog of name checks pending with the FBI.

USCIS and the FBI established a series of milestones prioritizing work based on the age of the pending name check. The FBI has already eliminated all name check cases pending more than four years.

“This plan of action is the product of a strong partnership between USCIS and the FBI to eliminate the backlogs and to strengthen national security,” said USCIS Director Emilio Gonza***.

By increasing staff, expanding resources, and applying new business processes, the goal is to complete 98 percent of all name checks within 30 days. USCIS and the FBI intend to resolve the remaining two percent, which represent the most difficult name checks and require additional time to complete, within 90 days or less. The goal is to achieve and sustain these processing times by June 2009.

Joint plan for name checks
The joint plan will focus on resolving the oldest pending FBI name checks first. USCIS has also requested that the FBI prioritize resolution of approximately 29,800 pending name checks from naturalization applicants submitted to the FBI before May 2006 where the naturalization applicant was already interviewed.

The target milestones for processing name checks are:

Completion Goal
Category

May 2008 Process all name checks pending more than three years
July 2008 Process all name checks pending more than two years
November 2008 Process all name checks pending more than one year
February 2009 Process all name checks pending more than 180 days
June 2009 Process 98 percent of all name checks within 30 days and process the remaining two percent within 90 days

Is this going to mean fewer cases going into administrative review due to false hits?

And what they forget to tell you is that "Joint Plan to Eliminate Backlog of FBI Name Checks" only applies to PRs and Citz apps where the interview has already been conducted. From May 2006 onwards, namecheck not cleared, no interview. Those of us stuck in that will be waiting many more months or years.

One of the members of another immigration forum lost her husband this past weekend in Juarez, Mexico. He was there awaiting the I601 waiver process. They have two kids. This is so tragic.

Florida woman says man slain in Juarez is husband

By Stephanie Sanchez / El Paso Times
Article Launched: 05/19/2008 12:00:00 AM MDT

A Florida woman has identified one of the men found dead in the trunk of a car early Saturday in Juárez as her 27-year-old husband and says she believes he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Falen Carnohan of East Central Florida said Mexican authorities have asked her to travel to Juárez to identify the body of her husband, whom she only identified as Savas. He had been in Juárez since November waiting for permission to re-enter the United States, she said.

Officials found three men in a car around 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Melchor Ocampo area. One man found dead inside was identified as Carlos Froylan Camacho, a former federal representative and current head of the consumer protection program for Juárez. Savas and another man, who was identified by a political organization as Manuel Carrasco Navarrete, were found in the trunk of the car.

It was unknown Sunday how the men died.

Mexican authorities have not identified the two men in the trunk, and calls placed to a homicide division of Chihuahua judicial state police went unanswered.

State officials said the violence that has rocked Juárez continued Sunday with the deaths of seven men -- three of whom were found wrapped in a blanket with their hands tied.

Carnohan said in a telephone interview that her husband had lived in Georgia since he was 16 years old, but was forced to go back to Mexico because his visa had expired. He was expecting to get his new visa and rejoin her and their two children

in about four months.
"The last time I talked to him, he was going home to change to go to the gym," Carnohan said. "Around 7 p.m. on Friday. ... He was tired, he was going to the gym and go home."

After a few hours, she said she called him again and no one answered. The unanswered phone calls continued until Mexican officials answered his apartment phone around noon Saturday.

The person with whom she spoke told her she would have to travel to Juárez to identify the body, but would not give her any other details.

"I really don't know what is going on. Nobody is talking about the situation," she said. "I want to know what happened and what it was about."

Carnohan said the last time she saw her husband was in March, when she surprised him for his birthday by coming to visit him for three days. Another trip to visit her husband of five years was planned within about two weeks from today.

"My daughter adored her father. All she could talk about was going to see him. Now I have to break it to her that she will never hear his voice again," she said, adding that they had two children, an 8-year-old and 4-year-old.

"I know they (the murderers) don't have a heart and they are motivated by one thing," Carnohan said.

Juárez has had a rash of killings that have been linked to warring drug cartels. About 300 homicides have occurred so far this year.

The Mexican federal government has sent 2,000 soldiers and federal police to Juárez in an attempt to control the violence.

Friday, Guillermo Prieto Quintana, the city's top police official, resigned and will be replaced with a retired military officer. His departure came after the slaying of police director Juan Antonio Roman Garcia, who was gunned down May 10.

"I'm walking blind and I don't know what to do. I don't know anything about Mexico," Carnohan said. "They need to handle this because there are so many lives that are put in jeopardy. We all need to unite and have something change."

Stephanie Sanchez may be reached at ssanchez@elpasotimes.com; 546-6137.

In other violence in Juárez:

The bodies of three men were found wrapped in a blanket near Emilio Abreu and Mauricio Magdaleno streets about 2 p.m. Sunday. Cause of death was unknown but the victims were tied. No arrests were reported.
More violence:

A 50-year-old man was shot and killed around 2:45 a.m. Sunday outside Papagallos Bar, near Tlaxcala and Belice streets. Victim was shot four times. Police found 21 shells at the scene. No arrests.

Wilfredo Moya Estaco, 48, shot and killed just before 4 a.m. in parking lot of V-Bar. Moya Estaco died at General Hospital from .40-caliber gunshot wounds. No arrests.

A man, 30 to 35 years old, was shot and killed around 12:50 a.m. near Mapimi and Moris streets. Victim was found inside Mercedes Benz. Fourteen shells were found at the scene. No arrests.

Manuel Flores Ramos, 53, was shot and killed Saturday near Hacienda Oriente and Hacienda Merecedes streets. Victim was shot in the neck and burns on his face, neck and arms were found. A vehicle nearby was partially burned. No arrests.

thank you for the article Proud.

This is really unfortunate for Mrs. Sanchez. Is this BSanchez that used to post here sometime ago?

In anyway, the comment about him being forced to go back to mexico is puzzling..

Very strange, I have never heard of an overstay that had to leave the country to adjust status,

It sounds like the husband was undocumented and not an overstay, or was previously deported.

In anyways, I hope the mexican gov can get the violence under control for the sake of that city and because many undocumented process at that consulate.

This same type of drug warring happened in Columbia in the 1980's . The drug lords and runners came to Miami and conducted their business like they were still in Columbia. USA had to bring in troops to keep Miami from turning into a total graveyard.

No, 4Now. This person is not BSanshez from this forum (I believe he is from Guatemala). She belongs to another immigration forum and I read the news over there today. He was EWI, not an overstay and had returned to Mexico awaiting the outcome of the I-601 waiver. It's quite sad. He not only leaves behind his wife, but two kids as well.
