The employer told us that it will be more easier for us to get approved since we are both professional and it will also speed up the process of getting our child from the Philippines.

It is normal and there is no harm in it. Actually both of you have double chances now. If one I-140 is not approved and the other is approved still both of you will get permanent residency here.

What are the options that I can take to go back here in US with my baby? Do I need to submit a separate application for my baby since she's in the Philippines?

Your baby will need to apply for a green card; however, the I-485 cannot be filed while she is abroad.

If you are on an H-1B or L-1 visa, the easiest way to bring her here is to apply for an H-4/L-2 visa for her, then file an I-485 for her at the same time as you and your husband file. BCIS prefers that all family members be processed together (i.e, principal, spouse, and minor children.)
