Dmartmar, I totally understand why are you having doubts about this issue with domestic violence, since it seems like you experienced with your ex-wife, but you have to realize that not everybody is like her and domestic violence is a reality.
Why didn't nina72 care about wife #2 like she's doing for wife #3?
dmartmar i understand that you been fool by a women before, i read your story in the other site, but you should not think all of immigrant who marry a US citizen are the same, i came here and marry my american husband, he is just smart, he don't only pick me basically on my looks but also i know that he knows that i do love him. he knows i love him and i see him as individual not because he is american, i didn't even know that he was planning to bring me here in america until almost a year of our relationship. just accept to your self that you make a bad judgement picking a wrong girl, every body makes mistake, but not every body are bad, i believe that nina72 is very sincere in wanting to help a stranger over her father, i would do the same thing.

How, what and in which ways is he smart? He picked you b/c he loves you, not b/c of your looks or b/c you say he knows you love him! Funny how my ex-wife used to rationalize the same way you do.

The question still stands: why didn't nina72 help wife #2? Why didn't nina72 prevent wives #2 AND #3, knowing beforehand how her father had been with her mother (wife #1)?
What is it about wife #3 that makes her so different OR special from wife #2?

i think when her father was married to wife #1 and wife #2 she was too young to defend them. now she's 19 years old ( am i right nina72). all i can say is that if this is all true i am glad that she is trying to help someone.

How do you know she didn't try to defend them (wife 1 and wife 2)?
B/c she left the house when she was 19, but the mom didn't leave until her brother was 18. Defending wife #1 (mom) would've meant staying together until all three moved out at the same time, instead of "leaving them behind."

There's a huge difference between people who love for real and those who are really good at faking it.
