I thought this quote from the K.C. Star fit right along with the "Adopt A Bigot" program. Here it is:.....

We all know it is both impactical and impossible to remove ALL those illegally in this country... but, in my opinion, anyone that is arrested or stopped for ANY crime, if they cannot provide their documentation, proving their legal presence here, they should be... 1, Reported to USCIS. 2, Have to report to thier local Police or Sheriff once a week. 3, Provide the evidence of their legal presence within one month. 4, Any departure from 2 & 3 above results in detention and immediate removal proceedings.
I know there are those that came here LEGALLY and for one reason or another have gone out of status, if that is someones situation, then they should at least be able to show some evidence that they are actively trying to put the error right and that could be taken into account when deciding to detain someone or not.
Lets face it, if you were here LEGALLY and went out of status... wouldn't you be doing all you could to get your status put right ?
This is not a complete list and I am sure many can add reasonable additions, which would be interesting to see how others feel. I am sure there will be some UNreasonable suggestions too .... lol
