ART

Art

Is creative

Is pleasing

Is beauty

It is not the doing

Of already done things.

EDUCATION

Education

is a continuing stream

flowing with enlightenment

Education

is a restless river

flowing through realms of virgin thought

Education

is a calabash of sweet wine

Savored in the Ivory tower

Relished in the market place

Education

is the precious ring of genii

Bestowed on the humble gopee

Often hidden, from the doctor

It is:

The songs of a hunter

The burdens of salty labor

The joy of a birth

The sorrow of death

The spirit of worship

The reality of rebellion

Soft breezes of music

A vision of golden skies

Our sea of shimmering culture

Sweet tales by the fire place

The warm touch of love

Lightning borne glimpses of Heaven

The glow of insight

The experience of motion

You are the spirit from ancient times

Ordained from crystal courts

Molding from humble dust

Translucent images.

THE SONG OF THE MIDNIGHT BOW

White leaves fall

from the winter sky

Sapphire rain, sheds teardrops

of liquid night

The wind howls in the trees

with a fierce light

As dragons ride the dreams

of the miner's sight

Passion's rivers did sigh with scorn

Ancient rovers wither with dawn

Whence comes this light

Which shone till morn

Through hot vales of ice

and winter corn

Aquarius!

Aquarius!

O, ocean's deep green base

White silver's sibling

and fire's disdain

Come for the slaughter

O fist of the sky

Lavish with splendor

Our daughter's divide

Alacheni, stood tall

on black fever's wail

Footfalls of foemen

did light up his eyes

Notched bright destruction

upon flying Bow

As the shrouded man Sang

with the Midnight Bow.
