I sent my application in on 11/2 and the USCIS in Sacramento got it on the 4th. How long time should it take to send an application recipt number?
It says on one place that it will take two weeks after they recieve the package and then when i look at the Processing times it appears to take some six weeks.... and then what do they add two weeks after that. It seems to me that things just should move a little bit faster especially when i look at Fresno's office and notice that it takes two weeks for them..... just kind of annoying and puts an awful lot of stress on applicants.

I may be mistaken, but isn't the COS supposed to be processed and approved first, before filing I-485 and the rest????
