I entered the US on the 90 day waiver and have overstayed approximately 160 days.
Im beginning to get nervous as to what will happen at the airport when i leave??
Going through customs?
Ive heard some horrible stories and then some people who didnt get into any trouble??

There will be no problem for you at the Airport. They don't bother about the people who are leaving voluntarily.
