If that is true, I would love to move to Eastern coast. I don't think that is real. The other Service center processing for half of the country is California service center and their dates are April 2001. It is been stuck there for atleast 6 months.
Don't know what is right and wrong ? The PD in visa bulletin says August of 1996 and 1997...1998 for some areas but F4 category in Service center dates are far more ahead of visa bulletin. Why ????????

Can some one explain who knows better than us ?

Thanks,

Chris

I don't have an answer to that one. I've posted here numerous times to find out about PD processing times, but no one on this forum knows. You would have thought in this day and age, they (homeland security - joke) would be able to give an estimated timeline when Pd's are likely to become current. Also, what about all the so called experts who access this site - one would have thought they would know. The first preference has been stuck, on Apr 21st for nearly two years. I can't see the 4th being on 2006 but I could be wrong. Check it out or call up. Thanks

You can check it at http://uscis.gov
For VCS it seems that if almost every petition has been decided. Because almost every case has a date of 2006.

Hi everyone processing dates are different from priority dates. Let say you file an I-130 application for your brother/sister at VSC of this year, then in a couple of months they'll be processing your case...once the month and year is current. After that they issue your sibling an priority date, now you have to wait for the Priority D to be current...then you can file your I-485, i-768 and whatever other application. You'll have to check the visa bullentin to see what PRIORITY DATE they are working on. They are processing applicants who as file all other forms for getting a GC, because their priority dates has already been current.

But once an I-130 is approved the USCIS sends a notice of Action I-797 to the petitioner saying that the petition has been approved. In my case the petition was filed on September 6, 2006 and no NOA has been sent yet by USCIS.Though the site says that they are processing cases for October, 2006. May I know why?
