Hello!
Help! My boyfriend (he's the USC and I'm the alien) and I wanted to get married at the end of the year, but are running into problems with parole approval waiting periods - we both live in New York, and were going to get married here and file the green card application here, but we found out that the advance parole waiting time is 90-120 days here. Now his parents still live in Philadelphia (that's his permanent residence) - if we get married in Philadelphia and submit applications using his parents' address, then can we get the parole earlier? According to this website: http://shusterman.com/aos4.html#30B , the waiting time in Philadelphia is much shorter, only 7-10 days. We need to travel out of the country in January, but wanted to wait until my parents came to marry, and that can't be earlier than the end of November. Can we possibly do this?
I thought that since the applications all go through the Vermont Service Center, that waiting times should be the same for all states that fall within its jurisdiction, but I appear to be wrong....
